As Specialist "Business Strategy Sustainability & Environment” you will drive one of our strategic areas, translating the global agenda to the group and ensuring that we adhere to our ambitions to be a global benchmark. You will be responsible for continuously identify the key topics and priorities and lead the work on the decided strategy with experts from the brands and from the TRATON functions.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a deep understanding of the area and an extensive network in the field. We highly value experience from the automotive industry and heavy commercial transport.

You will be a part of a small and dedicated team of subject matter experts and change makers, and work closely with other group functions and our brands to coordinate our responses to opportunities and perils associated with the transformation of the transport industry. This will involve collaboration with colleagues in the TRATON group as well as Volkswagen AG.

The position will include the following tasks e.g.: 

/ Lead the work to set the group agenda within the environmental area. Deriving the key topics from the brands and through several lenses to identify our priorities short, mid and long term 
/ Structure strategy deployment from Focus Area to Key Results and foster an impactful way of working
/ Ensure group-wide implementation of the agenda through cross-brand alignment and in dialogue with external stakeholders.
/ Provide guidance and support and act as an expert towards the brands in the area 
/ Support TRATON top management with expertise and advise
/ Be a centre of competence in developing the TRATON Annual and Sustainability reports as well as other ESG disclosures and further communication material
/ Be the key interface towards VW AG on the environmental area
/ Shape messaging towards relevant audiences and represent TRATON externally in partnerships, initiatives etc.


/ University degree, ideally within the relevant area of Business Strategy , Sustainability, Environment
/ Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the field of Sustainability  
/ Ability to set up cross functional teams and processes 
/ Great communicator that inspires others to see things differently and to spur a will to understand and act
/ Passion for complexity and creating tangible results and deliver value to your stakeholders 
/ Excellent English, both written and oral skills
